WASD Welcomes New Faculty, Administrators and Position Changes for 2024-2025 School Year

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AUGUST 19, 2024) — The Williamsport Area School District announces its welcome to its new faculty members for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year.
The following individuals are members of the WASD new faculty and this year’s induction class:
- Becca Baier, special education teacher, Jackson Primary
- Elizabeth Bair, long-term substitute teacher, Lycoming Valley Intermediate
- Carynn Banner, sixth-grade teacher, Lycoming Valley Intermediate
- Abbey Barnhart, special education teacher, WAMS
- Blaze Buckwalter, health and physical education teacher, Jackson Primary
- Savannah Cajka, school librarian, WAHS and WAMS
- Hailey Crowley, long-term substitute teacher, Cochran Primary
- Alyssa Day, speech and language teacher, district-wide

The following individual is a new member of the district’s administrative team:
- Keith Veldhuis, grade-level principal, WAHS
The following members of the district’s faculty and administration will take on new positions this school year:
- Jacob Anderson, who served as a dean of students at WAHS, will now be the assistant principal at Curtin Intermediate
- Liz Dincher, who served as a special education teacher at WAHS, will now be a grade-level principal at WAHS.
- Kaitlyn Eck, who served as a school counselor at WAHS, will now be the career counselor at WAHS.
- Dustin Johnson, who served as a fifth-grade teacher at Curtin Intermediate, will now be the intermediate level (grades 4-6) math coach.
- Sue Johnson will move from being a second-grade teacher at Jackson Primary to first-grade teacher at the same location.
- Lindsey Neuhard, who served as a special education teacher at Hepburn-Lycoming Primary, will now be a special education teacher at WAHS.
- Tristan Sponseller, who was a special education teacher at Cochran Primary, will now be a special education teacher at WAHS.
- Kim Williamson, who served as a grade-level principal at WAHS, will now be an eighth-grade English teacher at WAMS.
