WASD's New Teachers, Administrators and Position Changes for the 2023-2024 School Year

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AUGUST 21, 2023) — The Williamsport Area School District announces its welcome to its new faculty members and administrators for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year.
The following 40 individuals are new members of the WASD faculty team and this year’s induction class:

The following two individuals are new members of the district’s administrative team.
- John Fetterman, principal, Jackson Primary
- Kim Williamson, principal, WAHS
The following members of the district’s faculty and administration will take on new positions this school year:
- Erin Brouse, who served as the head principal at Jackson Primary, will now be the academic recovery coordinator.
- Heather Buffington Vogt, who served as a special education teacher at WAHS, will now be the district’s elementary special education supervisor.
- Kelsie Buckwalter, who served as a third-grade teacher at Cochran Primary, will now be special education teacher at Cochran Primary.
- Vikki Cipriani, who served as a social studies teacher at WAMS, will now be a social studies teacher at WAHS.
- Dr. Denise Clark, who served as assistant principal at Hepburn-Lycoming Primary, will now be the assistant principal at Jackson Primary.
- Alicia Differ, who served as a grade-level principal at WAHS, will now be the associate principal at WAHS.
- William Doebler, who served as a fifth-grade teacher at Curtin Intermediate, will now be a sixth-grade teacher at Curtin Intermediate.
- Jennifer Griswold, who served as a physical education teacher at Cochran and Jackson Primary, will now be the physical education teacher at Hepburn-Lycoming Primary.
- Dakota Gordon, who served as a fourth-grade teacher at Lycoming Valley Intermediate, will now be a special education teacher at Curtin Intermediate.
- John Gossner, who served as a social studies teacher at WAHS, will now be the learning center coordinator at WAHS.
- Amanda Kurtz, who served as a special education teacher at WAMS, will now be a special education teacher at WAHS.
- Patrick Menges, who served as an eighth-grade social studies teacher at WAMS, will now be a social studies teacher at WAHS.
- Brooke Nenadal, who served as a third-grade teacher at Cochran Primary, will now be the gifted and enrichment teacher at Cochran Primary and Curtin Intermediate.
- Amy Neylon, who served as gifted and enrichment teacher at Cochran Primary and Curtin Intermediate, will now be a Title 1 reading specialist at Cochran Primary.
- Megan Pryor, who served as a physical education teacher at Hepburn-Lycoming Primary, will now be a physical education teacher at Jackson Primary.
- Dr. Justin Ross, who served as the associate principal at WAHS, will now be the head principal at WAHS.
- Alexandra Sheppard, who served as a fifth-grade teacher at Lycoming Valley Intermediate, will now be a fourth-grade teacher at Lycoming Valley Intermediate.
- Kristin Takach, who served as a principal at WAHS, will now be the district’s secondary curriculum supervisor and unified arts supervisor.
- Amanda Wolfe, who served as a special education teacher at WAHS, will now be the district’s secondary special education supervisor.
